Shipping, Delivery and Pickup
SHIPPING, DELIVERY AND PICKUP
Last Updated: September 3, 2026
This policy sets forth the general terms related to the transportation, shipping, delivery, and pickup of units sold by Los Compadres Trailers (“Los Compadres Trailers,” “we,” “us,” or “the Company”).
1. DELIVERY OPTIONS
Depending on the purchaser’s location, the characteristics of the unit, and the terms of each transaction, Los Compadres Trailers may offer or coordinate the following options:
-
Unit pickup.
-
Local delivery.
-
Transportation within the State of Florida.
-
Transportation to other states within the United States, when available.
Availability and cost must be confirmed for each transaction.
2. TRANSPORTATION COSTS
Unless a quote, invoice, purchase order, or agreement expressly states that transportation is included, shipping, transportation, or delivery costs are not automatically included in the price of the trailer.
The cost may depend on factors including:
-
Distance.
-
Dimensions and weight of the unit.
-
Origin and destination.
-
Type of transportation required.
-
Tolls and related charges.
-
Accessibility of the delivery location.
-
Carrier rates.
3. TRANSPORTATION QUOTES
Any transportation estimate may be subject to change until the service is confirmed.
When transportation is provided by an independent carrier, final rates and terms may depend on that carrier.
4. INDEPENDENT CARRIERS
Los Compadres Trailers may use or assist in coordinating independent carriers for certain deliveries.
When the carrier is an independent third party, the carrier’s own terms, insurance, limitations, and procedures may apply to the transportation service.
Los Compadres Trailers will not be responsible for the acts or omissions of an independent carrier to the extent that such responsibility legally belongs to the carrier and cannot be attributed to Los Compadres Trailers.
5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
Before releasing a unit for delivery or pickup, Los Compadres Trailers may require:
-
Payment of all amounts due.
-
Confirmation of purchaser information.
-
Signature or acceptance of applicable documents.
-
Confirmation of the unit’s specifications.
-
Completion of any outstanding requirements established for the transaction.
Los Compadres Trailers may withhold delivery of a unit while past-due amounts or outstanding contractual requirements remain unresolved, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
6. PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION
Los Compadres Trailers may conduct a reasonable inspection of the unit before its release.
When appropriate, photographs or videos of the condition of the unit may be taken before delivery or pickup to document its condition.
7. CUSTOMER PICKUP
When the purchaser personally picks up the unit, the purchaser is responsible for using a vehicle, hitch system, connections, equipment, and towing methods appropriate for the characteristics of the trailer.
The purchaser is responsible for complying with all applicable requirements for legally and safely transporting the unit after taking possession.
Los Compadres Trailers may refuse to release a unit for a transportation method that it reasonably considers clearly unsafe, subject to the terms of the transaction and applicable law.
8. INSPECTION UPON RECEIPT
The purchaser should reasonably inspect the unit at the time of delivery or pickup.
Any apparent damage occurring during transportation or any visible discrepancy should, whenever possible, be documented with photographs or videos and reported as soon as reasonably possible.
When an independent carrier is involved, it may be necessary to document damage on the carrier’s delivery documents in order to facilitate a claim.
9. RISK DURING TRANSPORTATION
The allocation of risk of loss or damage during transportation will depend on who performs the transportation and the terms established in the specific transaction documents.
Los Compadres Trailers does not intend through this policy to transfer to the purchaser any risks that legally remain the responsibility of the Company.
When an independent carrier is used, any claim related to damage occurring during transportation will be evaluated based on the circumstances, documentation, carrier coverage, and applicable law.
10. TRANSPORTATION DELAYS
Delivery dates provided are estimates unless a different commitment is expressly established in writing.
Delays may occur due to weather conditions, traffic, carrier availability, mechanical breakdowns, road closures, emergencies, transportation restrictions, or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Los Compadres Trailers.
A reasonable transportation delay does not automatically create a right to cancel the purchase or receive a refund, subject to the purchaser’s applicable rights.
11. DELIVERY ADDRESS AND ACCESS
The purchaser is responsible for providing an accurate address and communicating in advance any conditions that may make delivery difficult, including narrow access points, height restrictions, restricted streets, unsuitable terrain, or other obstacles.
Additional costs resulting from incorrect information or undisclosed conditions may be the responsibility of the purchaser, where applicable.
12. DELIVERY ATTEMPTS
If a delivery cannot be completed due to circumstances attributable to the purchaser, reasonable charges for redelivery, additional transportation, or storage may apply when such charges have been agreed upon or are legally enforceable.
13. UNCLAIMED UNITS AND STORAGE
Once the purchaser has been notified that a unit is available for pickup, the purchaser must coordinate its removal within the period established in the transaction documents or within a reasonable period of time.
If a unit remains unclaimed after the agreed-upon period, Los Compadres Trailers may impose reasonable storage charges when such charges have been previously disclosed or agreed upon, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Abandonment of a unit does not automatically eliminate existing payment obligations.
14. DELIVERY OUTSIDE FLORIDA
Los Compadres Trailers may sell or coordinate transportation of units to purchasers located outside Florida when available.
The purchaser is responsible for verifying the registration, permit, inspection, and operating requirements applicable in the purchaser’s jurisdiction, except for any obligations expressly assumed in writing by Los Compadres Trailers.
15. TITLE, VIN, AND DOCUMENTATION
Where applicable to the transaction, the unit will be accompanied by any documentation related to its identification, title, registration, or transfer that is legally required to be provided.
Procedures and requirements may vary depending on the nature of the unit, jurisdiction, and transaction.
Any specific obligation regarding title, registration, or documentation will be determined in accordance with the sales documents and applicable law.
16. RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER DOCUMENTS
This policy establishes general terms.
The quote, purchase order, invoice, sales agreement, or delivery document applicable to a transaction may establish additional specific terms.
In the event of a difference regarding a specific transaction, the terms expressly accepted for that transaction will control to the extent permitted by applicable law.
